We would love to have you visit us on a Sunday morning. Here's some idea of what you could expect to see and experience.

What time should I be there?

Services begin at 10:00 a.m. Since we're a community that takes our time, often people won't show up until a few minutes before services begin, but you're invited anytime near 10:00. Just have a seat and enjoy! (And you are always welcome to join our Adult Bible Study - see Our Events page for details.)

How do I get there?

If you go to the "Contact Us" link above, you'll see full directions. Just know that we don't have a parking lot dedicated to the church, so you need to park in the neighborhood. It's a good idea to give yourself a few minutes to do that. But also know that right across the street from the church is Old Mill Park, a wonderful place to relax after church. And since we're only a couple of blocks up from downtown Mill Valley, you can easily walk downtown and enjoy the day!

What can I expect from the service?

We are a pretty informal bunch, and our services reflect that. First, you should know that there will be between 25 and 35 of us. We enjoy that we're a small congregation and our worship can be communal and yet touch each of us as individuals. We get to know one another after awhile, and we like one another too! You will experience some of the things you might expect in a worship - a sermon, some singing, some prayers - and also some time where we share what's going on in our lives. You can participate or not; whatever makes you comfortable. And in case you're wondering what to wear, you can come as you are. You will see some people in jeans and some in dresses and some in sport coats and everything in between. There aren't a lot of ties, but if you have one you'd like to show off, we'd love to see it. Finally, we are what's called an open and affirming church, meaning you are welcome no matter your sexual identity.

Are there children in worship?

Well, we wish there were more, but quite frankly, there aren't many. But there are a few. We don't at present have a nursery running during church, but we have a place you can go if your child needs a break, and a great rocking chair in the back where you can nurse, etc. And if we get more kids, then we will have a nursery - we promise!

Is your church accessible?

Yes. We have members who are in wheelchairs and members who use walkers. You shouldn't have any problems.

What happens after church? Do I just head out the door?

We hope not (although you are welcome to do just that if you like). We always have a coffee time after worship in our "fellowship" room, right outside the sanctuary. We would love for you to stay and meet us if you want. After all, the first step to becoming part of a community is to meet one another, and we relish the chance to meet you.

How do I get there?

Just go to the Contact Us page, and you will find directions to the church! You can also get more information on the FAQ page, linked above.
